Go Sport inaugurates new store concept
by on May 8, 2012Go Sport inaugurated an attractive new and more technical, fashionable and entertaining store concept after an investment of more than €10 million in the expansion and refurbishment of its flagship store in the Quatre Temps shopping center of Paris last week. It creates a more visible point of difference with Décathlon, which has had a store in a nearby convention center for the past two years, by breaking up with the general layout of a supermarket. While the space is divided by product categories, with more items in all the price categories, the brands are more in evidence. The cash registers are placed inside the shopping space of 3,800 square meters on two floors rather than at the front end of the store. The colors and fixtures are largely the same as before, but the environment has been warmer, more creative and dynamic, even more chic here and there. The concept will be rolled out to the group’s smaller stores, which will tend to cover fewer categories.
