Saint Jean de Luz in the French Basque region is in the midst of the big
European board sports cluster. Quiksilver, along with its affiliated
brands, is taking new initiatives to improve the image of the region in
this sector. After renovating its European head office, the group has
opened there a flagship store of 750 square meters, presenting the whole
range of Quiksilver, Roxy, DC and Moskova products. The new store is
designed to be a point of purchase, meetings and creativity for the surf
scene. No less than 200 boards will be ready for sale at the new
shopping temple. Named Boardriders 162, the shop surprises customers
with a vast offer of rental services, a “customization terminal” as well
as a lounge with comfortable armchairs inviting to use the store’s
iPads, computers and other services.
