Nike Germany confirmed that the Niketown store in Berlin would be closed
down next summer, as part of the American sports brand’s global retail
strategy. Situated in Charlottenburg, the store of about 3,300 square
meters was among the first Niketowns to open in Europe and it remains
Nike’s only store in Berlin. The company will be looking for other
locations in the vibrant German capital, but it remains unclear if it
will open another Niketown or several smaller concept stores instead.
