VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON--( )--December 5, 2012 - Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS), a leader in
innovative home fitness equipment, announces the release of the Schwinn®
520 Reclined Elliptical machine. This cutting-edge cardiovascular system
combines Airdyne® technology with a recumbent seat and an elliptical
path to simulate a natural walking motion, providing an effective
workout that relieves pressure from the joints.
The unique design of the Airdyne® fan provides progressive resistance so
the harder you pedal the higher the resistance, which makes it adaptable
for any fitness level even for those in rehabilitation.
The design also features an oversized flexible footplate, enabling the
machine to target multiple muscle groups using varying foot positions.
In addition, the contoured seat encourages good posture while providing
hours of comfortable use. The easy to read, fully featured console
allows users to set calorie, distance and time goals and adjusts to the
user’s preferred viewing angle.
“Nautilus’ mission is to develop and market innovative products that
help people achieve their health and fitness goals” said Bruce Cazenave,
CEO of Nautilus. “Our new Schwinn® Reclined Elliptical is a
perfect extension to our Schwinn® branded portfolio of products and adds
to the growing list of truly innovative Nautilus Inc. products which
includes the CoreBody Reformer®, the Peak Fit System™, the Bowflex®
TreadClimber®, and others. These products are all uniquely designed to
give people, of any age and fitness level, effective tools to transform
their lives and achieve their fitness goals in the comfort of their
home.”
This launch continues to build momentum for the valued line of Airdyne
technology products. In September, the ageless Schwinn® Airdyne® upright
fan bike was redesigned to feature a smaller, quieter, frictionless fan.
The flagship AD6 model is designed for the rigors of both home and club
use and carries residential and commercial use warranties.
The Schwinn® 520 Reclined Elliptical is available at specialty retail
stores including, but not limited to: Amazon.com, MC Sports and Play it
Again Sports and the Schwinn® AD6 Airdyne® Bike is also available on
Amazon.com.
Schwinn® and Airdyne® are both registered trademarks of Nautilus, Inc.
