Business news : Turnover up Beneteau first quarter 2012-2013

Beneteau, the world number one of yachts manufacturers, announced Thursday, 10 January sales up 1% in the first quarter of 2012-2013, remaining very cautious about its prospects.
 
Revenue for the September quarter to November 2012 totaled 96.2 million euros. "Representative typically between 10-15% of annual turnover, there is little significant activity of the group throughout the year," said Beneteau however.
 
The boat activity, which represents more than two-thirds of sales, rose 6.8% year on year, to 74.2 million. Activity Habitat however decreased 14% (22 million euros).
 
The group noted that growth continues in South America and Asia and North America, where it develops its range of motor boats, found "some momentum".
