Skora Inc, manufacturer of premium zero-drop running shoes, hired Chris Elkins as global sales director. Specializing in growing small footwear brands, Elkins has spent nearly 20 years supporting global consumer product brands, including Columbia Sportswear, Sorel, Mountain Hardwear, and Stairmaster, among others.

Effective immediately, Elkins’ responsibilities include domestic and international sales strategy, brand positioning, sales and marketing efforts, and sales tool creation for reps and retailers.

Working in fast-growth environments, his experience in sales force management, sales enablement, supply chain, and strategic planning have contributed to the success of many start-up and high-growth businesses.

"Chris' sales leadership and organizational experience with fast-growth outdoor brands is superbly suited to help us our achieve our goal in becoming one of the most respected and desired performance brands in the world," praised David Sypniewski, founder and CEO of Skora. “We hope to leverage his experience, connections and partnerships to build on the incredible momentum the Skora introduction has created.”

“David's passion and the product is something the industry truly needs,” said Elkins. “Consumers have been trained to be happy with the same products from the same players for years, and for a brand like Skora to break through and remain true to its beliefs speaks to the strength of the brand.  I think consumers globally demand passion and legitimacy in the product, and this isn't just a money-making entity.  It's a vision and a lifestyle. The opportunity to work with something that is truly new and different doesn't come along often, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.”

Chris holds an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from the University of Minnesota and specializes in sales operations, supply chain analysis and forecasting, financial analysis and implementation of key performance indicators, warehousing and logistics, customer service best practices, and training and staff development.
