Business news : Eurofamily loses Globetrotter

The interest group and its existing Eurofamily Member Globetrotter will no longer develop common product ranges.

They would remain in the sense of exchange of experience linked, says a press release of Euro Family President Christoph Schmid of sports Förg Augsburg. The cooperation of owner-managed sporting goods retailer has established in 2000, members are just sports Förg from Augsburg, Engelhorn (Mannheim), Breuninger (Stuttgart), athletes (Bolzano) and Gigasport (Graz) and Transa (Zurich). In Europe, 73 stores and four online shops, the members continued claims to be around one billion euros in total.

While Globetrotter would advance his outdoor specialization, the focus in the range policy of the Eurofamily will in future increasingly be on all other alpine sports. Schmid said the community would increase the "level of sportsmanship." The remaining members will continue to offer their customers' own brands Meru Kaikkialla and Hot Stuff.
