CamelBak generated net sales of approximately $157.6 million in the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2013, up more than three-fold from $42.7 million in 2011, parent Compass Diversified Holdings reported.
Camelbak’s operating income soared to $25.5 million, compared with an operating loss of $6.8 million in 2011.
The company, which designs, manufactures and distributes bottles and other hydration products to the outdoor recreation, military and tactical markets, ended the year with total assets of $259.1 million, down slightly from a year earlier.
CODI also released operating results for Fox, a major provider of suspension systems for mountain bikes and off-road vehicles. Net sales reached $235.9 million in 2012, up 28.4 percent from $197.7 million in 2011. Fox had total assets of $142.8 million at year end compared to $130.0 million at Dec. 31, 2011.
Finally, CODI reported net sales reached $91.6 million at Liberty Safe, compared with $82.2 million in 2011. The company, which manufactures and distributes gun safes, had operating income of $6.0 million and $4.3 million in the years ended Dec. 31, 2012 and 2011 respectively.
