New product : Makia X Pelago Fellowship

Both Makia and Pelago share the same shipyard on the banks of Hietalahti Bay in downtown Helsinki. Together, Makia and Pelago are not only anchored in the same harbour, but share a similar background as well. The outcome of their collaboration is a simple and sturdy bicycle from the Pelago range with limited edition Makia labels, topped off with some fine Makia tees to go with the co-op design.

Check out the short film released alongside the collaboration that was produced by Kimmo Syväri and his team at All About Everything.  It tells the story of lonely bicycles that have lost their way without their riders.

Pelago was born out of local needs and demand for better bicycles for daily transport and alternative travelling. The company is rooted in the Helsinki pavement, but approaches cycling in greater context.</sub>
