Hurley’s world-famous Rip My Shred Stick Tour is back and
ready to hit a beach near you. Starting in San Diego on May 4, and
wrapping up in Costa Rica on July 20, Rip My Shred Stick will reach
hundreds of young surfers and span more than 10,000 miles. The tour will
stop in diverse surf locales such as Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Texas
and the Great Lakes, and feature a new 48-foot self-contained Shred
Stick tour bus.
Rip My Shred Stick allows kids 16 and under to hang out
with the Hurley team, test-drive their boards and compete in a
no-pressure, all-fun surf event. “It’s not your typical contest,” says
Hurley’s Core Accounts Marketing Manager Zach “Hula” Hartley.
“it’s based on a fun scale rather than an experience scale. And that’s
the most important part for me — that everyone wins and has a good
time.”
