Hood Sailmakers Inc. in business for 40 years

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WPRI)-- A Middletown sail making company is accepting bids to clear itself from bankruptcy.

Hood Sailmakers Inc. has been manufacturing sailcloth for 40 years.

The company filed for bankruptcy earlier this month, announcing it would be accepting bids for a buyout.

Bids must be received by May 9th. An auction will take place May 20th at the United States Bankruptcy Court in Providence.
