It's the smell of surf wax, sand between your toes and the sweet
feeling you get when you glide down a wave that all inspired this years'
Billabong Surf Capsule Wetsuit Collection.
This playful range of
suits began as a limited edition, born out of the love for the ocean and
a desire to pay homage to the roots of Billabong. However such was the
response from the ever increasing number of girls hitting the surf, that
it has quickly evolved into an essential part of the Billabong
collection.
Inspiration was sourced from Billabong’s seventies
roots then infused with a vintage California vibe. Unexpected aqua
neoprene, zip fronts and colour blocking provided the perfect template
for a better way to surf and feel. The result is a line of slim-cut, 100
percent neoprene vests, jackets and long john style suits that girls
actually want to wear.
Justine Dupont, one of Europe’s top
professional surfers and capsule test pilot has said, “I love this
wesuit, it is super feminine with a nice cut in all the right areas.
These new wetsuits bring a glamourous touch to womens' surfing.”
With
the capsule, the age old problem of wetsuits, once the most
unflattering and difficult of all surf gear for girls, has been solved.
Color blocked pastels and raw edged waists and wrists lend an air of
nostalgia and style, yet the suits that still have all the features of
their more techie looking cousins.
As Justine says again, “We feel
great in these wetsuits, and they are perfect for long summer sessions,
warm, even when it's a bit chilly. They definitely are a must have for
this summer of waves."
The Billabong Surf Capsule Collection will be available in stores and online.
