Salomon will renew all of its websites under salomon.com. The enrollment
of the new pages has already started and the goal is that every site
will be updated by the end of this year.
The new sites have improved conversion rates, developed site
functionalities and an updated visual identity that matches the
requirements of today’s internet.
“The main goal was to increase
the conversion rate on the sites. It started as just optimizing a few
pages here and there and ended up with a full redesign of the
salomon.com platform,” tells Benjamin Aidan, Head of digital marketing
and ecommerce.
Prior to the launch, a lot of research and data analysis was done.
“The
biggest danger you can face is actually working on gut feeling.
Therefore, we spent a lot of time with our agencies analyzing the site
and consumer data before coming up with a recommendation of a new site
structure and layout”, continues Benjamin.
The sites are further
developed with responsive web design which means that the sites are not
solely mobile sites but sites that adapt entirely to their environment.
Consumers can read and navigate on the sites with a minimum of
resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices such as
mobile phones, tablets and desktops, whether they are in-store, at home,
on their couch or at work – and always enjoy an optimal viewing
experience.
