Cushe Footwear, a brand owned by Wolverine World Wide, has paired up
with the legendary Hoffman California Fabrics to create an exclusive
collection of surf style footwear for Spring/Summer 2014.
Hoffman
California Fabrics has been famously creating authentic Hawaiian and
Balinese prints that have helped define beach culture since 1924. The
Hoffman influence continues today with a complete line of prints both
modern and classic that capture the Aloha spirit; making the partnership
with Cushe a perfect fit.
“The Hoffman Cushe Collection is
colorful, vibrant, and youthful blended with retro, traditional prints,”
said Sophie Hellyer, champion and Team Cushe surfer. “This collection
represents who we are in footwear because I am quite a colorful person!”
The
creative team at Cushe has hand-selected patterns from the Hoffman
California Fabrics library to pay homage to the SoCal scene with this
collaborative collection. A fun but difficult task since the designers
at Hoffman create nearly 800 beautifully unique patterns a year. From
traditional screen prints to unpredictable Bali Batiks, only designs
that created just the right complement to Cushe were selected.
“Cushe
has always been about the coastal way of life; our style and
functionality were born on the beach,” said Ken Taylor, global marketing
manager for Cushe. “This makes us so stoked to be working with the
innovative legends at Hoffman.”
The Hoffman x Cushe Collection
will be available for both men and women in early spring 2014 online at
cushe.com and wherever Cushe products are sold including Ron Jon Surf
Shop, Flip Flop Shops, REI and Nordstrom.
