Skins Compression, the maker of gradient compression sportswear, has
expanded its relationship with long-time business partner, Ted Lohr,
owner of Centripetal Sports, Inc. In his new role, Lohr will serve as
sales representative for Skins in the Northwest region.
With extensive experience and insight in the performance gradient
compression market representing some of the industry’s top sports and
performance names, Lohr and his company will serve as an extension of
the Skins brand throughout the Northwest, as well as managing key
national accounts and business development within the winter sports and
water sports sectors. This move by Skins marks the next step in the
brand’s strategic alignment to invest in additional key territories
throughout the U.S.
More than six years ago, Lohr and his
company entered the sporting goods industry as representatives for Skins
Compression. Since then, Centripetal Sports, Inc. has been a key player
in elevating not only Skins, but also the world’s most identifiable
performance sports brands within the marketplace. Now Lohr will work
with Skins to provide an additional avenue for growth, helping to boost
momentum for the company’s expansion efforts.
“We are very
passionate about performance compression, and our partnership with Skins
allows us to further align our efforts with a company that not only
shares the same focus and passion, but has the expertise, innovation and
commitment to be a game-changer for the industry,” said Ted Lohr,
president of Centripetal Sports.
This expanded partnership
extends far beyond the traditional brand/sales representative alignment,
and will be strengthened via increased support from Skins including
marketing, brand and sales support, as well as a dedicated West coast
tech rep based in the Northwest.
“Over the last 120 days, we
have made significant strides in augmenting the Skins team and offerings
to support continued long-term growth strategies within the U.S., as
well as placing an increased focus on our specialty retailers,” said
Johnny West, General Manager of Skins North America. “We are thrilled to
have Ted rejoin the Skins brand! He has strong connections within the
key markets that align with our strategies and impressive expertise of
the gradient compression industry. Ted and his team are a valued partner
of our brand, and in his new role, we’re confident that they will help
further expand Skins across multiple sporting disciplines and channels.”
Lohr
lives in Hood River, Oregon with his wife Kateri and daughter Katie.
Originally from Youngstown, New York, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in
economics from Williams College.
