Marcel Crince has been appointed chief operating officer for the EMEA region
Navico, the parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands, has appointed Marcel Crince as its chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Crince’s COO duty is in addition to his existing position as chief financial officer for Navico Holding A/S.
Crince’s appointment as COO for EMEA follows the recent acquisition of Swedish distributors Sportmanship Marin to create Navico Sweden, and it is part of a world class sales restructure that has seen Navico move to align sales and customer-support personnel with key market segments, to ensure continued improvements in customer service.
Leif Ottosson, CEO of Navico Holding A/S, comments: “Increased management focus is vital for continuing the increase of our market share in the EMEA region. Marcel is instrumental to this and will support his team in providing our customers with the best product portfolio and best-in-class after sales support.”
Crince joined the Navico group in 2011, and in the holding’s CFO he has seen the group achieve a revenue increase of 15 per cent globally in 2012.
Commenting on his appointment, Crince says: “It is an exciting time to be expanding my remit within Navico, as the company has a solid three brand structure and a motivated and hungry sales and support team. I’m looking forward to the continued success of Navico and helping to grow this flourishing company alongside a strong management team.”
Crince’s background in the European and EMEA regions includes roles at the Provimi Group, General Electric (GE), Stanley Works, Black & Decker and the Ontex Group.
