Meb Keflezighi and Bob Kennedy, both holders of Olympic titles, have
become co-owners of Movin’ Shoes, a three-unit chain of running stores
in the San Diego area.
Bob Kennedy had been co-owner of the
six-unit BlueMile running chain in Indiana. In May, that chain was sold
to Running Specialty Group (RSG). Four of BlueMile stores are in
Indianapolis, IN and two are in Louisville, KY.
Kennedy sold his
share in BlueMile in September 2012 and subsequently moved to San Diego.
Kennedy was on the 1992 and 1996 Olympic 5000-meter team, and once held
the American records at 3000 meters, 2 miles, and 5000 meters, according to Runners World.
Keflezighi, who also recently relocated to San Diego to train, has been on three Olympic teams, and placed second in 2004
and fourth in 2012 in the Olympic Marathon. He is sponsored by Skechers.
