Bel-Ray
added depth to its talent pool, hiring marine industry veteran Jim Self
to manage the company’s marine division as its general manager. Self,
formerly of Mallory Marine, brings his extensive marine industry
knowledge to the position, where he will be responsible for all aspects
of Bel-Ray’s marine specialty lubricants line.
For
more than 60 years, Bel-Ray has produced high performance marine
products, used by everyone from the United States Navy to the largest
manufacturers of outboard engines. In 2012, Bel-Ray launched a
comprehensive line of marine products specially developed for consumer
use with a focus on performance and dependability. The Bel-Ray marine
line is engineered with products serving every application, including
two-stroke, four-stroke, and diesel outboards, inboards, stern, and jet
drive systems. The line also includes gear oils and service lubricants
for all marine lubrication needs.
“Bel-Ray’s
leadership and innovation, using cutting edge technology in all of
their products, created my initial interest in the company,” said Self.
“Their unique mix of products delivers impressive performance and
reliable solutions to common lubrication problems frequently encountered
in the marine environment. I am looking forward to sharing Bel-Ray’s
state-of-the-art marine line with the entire boating community.”
"I am thrilled to welcome Jim to the company as a key member of my management team. Jim’s extensive understanding of the marine market segment adds an element to our already successful platform, which will no doubt afford value to our distributor partners and customers around the world,” said Bel-Ray Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Liquori. “Jim will deliver all of our partners the best service and best products for all of their marine needs."
Under
Self’s direction, Bel-Ray will continue to grow its consumer marine
product line with new products designed to meet the needs of today’s
boating industry with performance and dependability. Bel-Ray has been
making products for the marine, mining, industrial, and motorcycle
markets for close to seventy years.
