The RS Cat 16 is the newest dinghy RS range and the first Catamaran . It will be unveiled in September.
Easy to handle, exciting and extremely durable, RS Cat 16 is designed for sailing schools , beach clubs and leisure sailing family .
With significant technical developments in the structural aspect is the key catamaran, RS Cat 16 is not only modern, but it also includes important practical advantages. The beams do not require special mounting in the hull , so that the catamaran can be quickly assembled without the need for glue. The bolts beams and struts are listed on chain plates in stainless steel located in the channels on each side of the hull , which gives an exceptionally strong assembly quick and easy.
RS comptec TP3 in polyethylene using three layers, which gives it durability, this cutting-edge technology development for the design of the multihull is a success , the designer Jo Richards ensures that it will have remarkable performance stream . The new steering system Lift & Lock gives a positive position sailing with ease kick-up and lock complete survey for ease of use and reduced damage to the beach.
Options for the RS Cat 16 include a basic version for training an S version with jib and trapeze, and XL version with jib, gennaker and twin trapezes .
Hulls allow the boat to sail solo or family crew.

The first public appearances for the RS Cat 16 will be in Europe Southampton Boat Show in September and North America in the Annapolis Boat Show in October. Production will begin at the end of 2013, with boats available through the worldwide network of resellers RS sailing .
