NORCROSS, Ga. -- Mizuno USA, a world-class leader in golf technology and development, has officially released its highly anticipated next generation of JPX game-improvement irons - JPX EZ. The new line establishes an entirely new standard for forgiveness with proven sweet spot 83 percent bigger than TaylorMade Rocketbladez and more than 50 percent larger than Ping G25 and Callaway X-Hot.
The results are no surprise considering Mizuno's long-standing reputation of superior irons, whether in forged or cast game-improvement models. When it comes to design, manufacturing and performance technologies, Mizuno is unwilling to compromise quality for the end user, as evidenced by JPX predecessors, the 800 and 825 lines, and now with the dramatic improvements featured in the new JPX EZ irons.
"We realize that sweet area claims have been played out in our industry, but there's just no way around the eye-popping performance numbers that the JPX EZ's have produced in our testing process," said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development, Golf Division. "To put it bluntly, the JPX EZ's are in a class by themselves in terms of forgiveness on the course and arming golfers at every level with the ability to enjoy consistency in their game. In light of the dramatic numbers the EZ's consistently produce, it seemed only appropriate to introduce a dramatic new look thanks to the exclusive DuPont-blasted, matte black finish."
The JPX EZ line provides golfers the ultimate boost in confidence, allowing the risks they take on the course to be rewarded. Golfers will feel the desire to assert an aggressive "pin-seeking" attitude on the course like never before. The result will be exceptional ball speeds for explosive distance combined with the largest sweet area ever featured by Mizuno delivering consistent ball flight, and most importantly, consistent scoring.
The latest addition to the JPX lineup of game-improvement irons utilize Mizuno's HOT METAL and MAX COR technologies to create an ultra-thin face that delivers an improved 'trampoline effect' to deliver the highest allowable ball speeds for maximum distance.
The four-through-seven irons offer a MAX COR ultra pocket cavity design that utilizes a thin, multi-thickness face with a massive sweet area for extreme forgiveness and a low, deep COG for optimal trajectory. The eight-iron through pitching wedge utilize a Deep Pocket Cavity Design delivering increased accuracy with the same massive sweet area and maximum forgiveness in the scoring irons.
In addition to the EZ's unparalleled distance and forgiveness, Mizuno utilized H.I.T (Harmonic Impact Technology), a vibration management technology, that delivers the iconic Mizuno sound and feel players crave at ball impact. The JPX EZ provides an ideal combination of distance, extreme forgiveness and overall feel packaged together in sleek matte black finish to carry golfers of any level to improved and more consistent play.
