Business news : E-Z-GO renews vehicle supplier agreement with Pebble Beach Company
AUGUSTA, Ga. -- E-Z-GO has renewed its agreement with Pebble Beach Company to remain its exclusive supplier of golf car and utility vehicles.
Under the renewed agreement, the E-Z-GO RXV® electric golf car will be in service for golfers at all four of the company's golf courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links®, Spyglass Hill® Golf Course, The Links at Spanish Bay™ and Del Monte™ Golf Course. At any given time, approximately 450 RXV golf cars are in use - in addition to 140 E-Z-GO hospitality, commercial and industrial vehicles - at the resorts.
The renewal agreement keeps in place a relationship between Pebble Beach Company and E-Z-GO that has exceeded 30 years.
"Everything Pebble Beach does is first class, so naturally we're thrilled to once again be associated with one of the world's best, and best-known, golfing destinations," said Mike Parkhurst, Vice President, Golf for E-Z-GO. "Our RXV golf car is second to none, offering both high quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The RXV's unique capabilities, coupled with our commitment to quality and customer service and long-standing relationships with Pebble Beach Resorts, have enabled us to continue a relationship with Pebble Beach that we have enjoyed for more than three decades."
The RXV electric model offers an innovative AC Drive and full-time regenerative braking to provide lasting operational savings for any golf course. Its automatically applied parking brake engages whenever the vehicle stops to help prevent rollaway situations. Since its introduction in 2008, E-Z-GO has sent tens of thousands of RXVs into service at golf courses and resorts around the world.
