VENICE, CA – November 4, 2013 – Arbor
Snowboards is proud to announce the addition Tim Mackenzie to their
sales rep force. His territory will include the New England and
Mid-Atlantic regions. Mackenzie will replace long time Arbor rep, Matt
Kleman, who is moving on to pursue opportunities in another industry.
“Arbor would like to thank Matt for almost 10 years of hard work and
dedication to the brand,” says Bob Carlson, co-founder of Arbor
Snowboards.
“And we welcome Matt’s handpicked successor to the family.
In the coming weeks, Matt and Tim will travel the territories together,
visiting accounts to insure a smooth transition.”
Having worked at nearly every position within the hierarchy of
snowboard sales, Mackenzie brings deeply ingrained knowledge and
experience to this position. He got his start in the industry working
retail at Pelican Morris Plains, gradually getting promoted to a buyer
and assistant management roles. Next, he worked under legendary
Mid-Atlantic rep, J Nuzzo, selling Libtech, Gnu, Quicksilver, Roxy, Pow,
and Airhole. He also represented Loaded Skateboards and Orangatang
Wheels. Most recently, Mackenzie helped manage sales and marketing for
Niche Snowboards.
“Like everyone who works in the snow industry, I started out as
a consumer, and always respected Arbor,” says Mackenzie. “I liked the
brand enough to buy an Element 55. As a shop kid, I was always proud to
sell Arbor gear because I knew I was getting my customers on a quality
and super fun board. It never hurt that their snowboards are straight
up beautiful. Even when I worked for competing brands, I was always
impressed with their attitude and the way they ran their business. It’s
saying something when you can earn the respect of your peers. I’ve
wanted to work for this company for a long time, and couldn’t be more
stoked now that I do.”
