Following the launch of a new 39-footer that it claims has raised the bar for levels of customisation in its size range, Aguz Marine is gearing up for growth
Brazilian boatbuilder Aguz Marine has launched the Aguz 39, which it believes is set to be a game-changer for the domestic industry, featuring levels of interior and upper deck customisation as yet unseen, it claims, in boats of its size.
An upgraded version of the Aguz 36 launched in January 2011, the new Aguz 39 was designed in Italy by Paolo Ferragni from Ferragni Progetti Yacht Design, and is the only known vessel of its category to offer three closed cabins as one of the options for the owner.
Customisation options for the interior deck include five different deck plans, varying from open rooms up to three closed rooms. “When Aguz Marine creates a cabin, it is really a full cabin ready to be used for overnights, with space to sleep but also to dress and storage for the luggage. So, cabins with real comfort,” explains Aguz Marine marketing director Rogério Amodio.
Customers can also opt for different wood colours and finish. For the main deck the choices include open boat, T-top cover or hardtop, the number of access to the boat and seats configuration and colour. The hull can also be painted with a colour of the owner’s choice.
In addition, Aguz Marine has announced that following the success of the Aguz line in Brazil, the shipyard is now looking to create an entire product line with the help of a two-pronged business approach that includes looking for export partners, and by offering partnerships enabling it to manufacture foreign boats in Brazil.
“Aguz Marine is able to import the boat and kits and assemble in Brazil the final product, or even laminate (infuse, when necessary) from a mould and assemble the entire boat based on imported kits or on accessories developed in Brazil,” reads a statement.
Aguz Marine is headquartered in Diadema, a city in Sao Paulo state. The yard is a 15-minute drive from the local airport and a 40-minute drive from the coast. Production capacity for the Aguz 39 is 18 units per year and the builder has plans to double production in the next year.
