Crowdfunding : iXtreme 2.0 for iPhone Announced on Kickstarter

WASHINGTON, April 2, 2014 -- iXtreme® has been released via the Kickstarter crowdfunding site with pre-order prices discounted over 50% to retail. The updated iXtreme 2.0 is an interchangeable iPhone lens and mounting system that has been designed for athletes and spectators. 

More than a waterproof iPhone sports case, the rugged multi-layer design, interchangeable lenses, one-finger-release X-Clip® Multi-Point Mounting System, and viewing kickstand make iXtreme the most versatile case on the market.

iXtreme transforms the iPhone® into something different: affordable, wearable technology. The mounting system and interchangeable lenses give the iPhone the most desirable qualities of point-of-view (POV) cameras like GoPro Hero®. 

The waterproof and shockproof design protects the iPhone so it can safely be used in harsh environments, or activities where the phone may be broken. The mounting system has been adapted to work with GoPro-brand accessories, as well as any tripod-based mounting system. 

When paired with iX Grip, a multi-position iPhone monopod, iXtreme has the feel of a video camera allowing very stable one-hand or two-hand control. Two iX Grips transform iXtreme into an iPhone gaming controller and iPhone steering wheel, allowing the hands more clearance from the screen and redirecting the speaker output directly toward the user.

iXtreme is the first POV device of its type to offer a Free Chest Mount Harness. When paired with iX Grip, the X-Clip Base Adapter for GoPro® is the first product to support GoPro and iPhone on a single monopod. Compatible with iX Grip and the iXtreme Chest Harness, the Base Adapter allows you to use your iPhone in place of the GoPro LCD Touch BacPac®, or make simultaneous videos from a single mount.
