La Sportiva, makers of the world’s finest mountain products, has received the coveted Editor’s Choice award from Trail Runner magazine for the new Bushido mountain running shoe.
“The Bushido is for serious runners who take on technical terrain,”
says La Sportiva North America president Jonathan Lantz. “It’s
lightweight but takes advantage of sticky climbing rubber and big lugs
to provide incredible traction, especially when running fast on steep
mountain terrain.”
The Bushido is the newest shoe in La Sportiva’s successful Mountain
Running® footwear line. Designed for top performance in technical
terrain, the shoe utilizes the new STB stabilization technology, which
is a TPU frame on the side of the upper that extends and wraps over the
midsole to stabilize fit. Combined with the dual density FriXion® XT
sole, Impact Brake SystemÔand overwrapped lugs, this 9.8 ounce, 6mm drop
shoe has exceptional cornering ability and is targeted at the sweet
spot of the trail running market.
“Slip this puppy on and prepare to feel indestructible,” reads Trail Runner
review. “The Bushido pairs monster tread and a burly frame wrapping the
midfoot to battle the most menacing trails. Though it looks hefty, in
fact, the shoe is lighter than most ‘traditional’ trail-running shoes,
and the 6mm heel-to-toe drop preserves a surprising amount of ground
feel.”
The Bushido and the entire Mountain Running collection are available now at www.sportiva.com
and at fine specialty retailers across the US and Canada. All Editors’
Choice selections are available in the June 2014 issue of TrailRunner, available on newsstands now.
