IRVINE, Calif.--Drawing on years as an industry leader in the performance running category, ASICS America pushes the limits in the Summer 2014 collection with the latest updates to its award winning line of running footwear. Featuring ASICS’ advanced technologies, the GEL-Nimbus® 16 and GEL-Cumulus® 16 keep performance, supreme comfort, serious guidance and unbelievable cushioning in the newest addition. The updated models are designed to help neutral runners and underpronators run long distances so they can perform their best from start to finish.

The GEL-Nimbus® 16 continues its legacy of making runners feel like they are running on clouds. The latest model features additional GEL® cushioning for top-of-the-line shock attenuation. To increase the forefoot flexibility, we’ve added additional flex groves on the outsole to complement the pre-existing flex groves on the midsole. Seeking to provide an improved fit, we’ve refined the FluidFit™ upper, enabling the shoe to move with your foot better than ever before. Combined with a HEEL CLUTCHING SYSTEM™ and a ComforDry™ sockliner, the new GEL-Nimbus® 16 is the most comfortable and best fitting version yet.

The 16th edition GEL-Cumulus® keeps getting better by increasing cushioning, making the forefoot more flexible and decreasing overall weight. The most substantial addition to the GEL-Cumulus® 16 is the addition of the FluidRide™ midsole designed to provide the ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning properties with reduced weight and exceptional durability. Combine the FluidRide™ midsole with more GEL® cushioning in both the forefoot and heel, the new GEL-Cumulus® 16 will be the lightest and one of the most cushioned version of the GEL-Cumulus® series.
