Timbuk2, a pioneer of made-in-America customization and industry leading designer of urban gear, is partnering with bike poster show ARTCRANK in 2014 to sponsor events showcasing bicycle-inspired artwork in Chicago, Denver, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle.

Timbuk2 will produce a limited run of two unique artist messenger bags featuring select artwork from the events, hosting an Instagram contest to determine the two winning designs.

This year, Timbuk2 will host an Instagram contest at ARTCRANK’s Chicago, Denver, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle events in which attendees vote for their favorite poster.

The winning poster from each event will advance to a final round, and the two finalist posters receiving the most votes will be printed on a limited run of made-in-San Francisco Custom Messenger Bags, available to purchase in-store this holiday season and online at www.timbuk2.com in early 2015.

“This is an exciting partnership for Timbuk2, as ARTCRANK’s celebration of cycling, art and the community echoes our core values,” said Timbuk2 Brand Manager, Lizzy Fallows. “With Timbuk2 retail locations in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, and soon Portland, we’re committed to integrating Timbuk2 into each city’s cycling community and beyond. That we can support both local art and cycling through ARTCRANK is incredibly rewarding.”

Timbuk2 will sponsor the following 2014 ARTCRANK events:

Seattle – Friday, June 20
Chicago – Saturday, July 19
Denver – Saturday, August 23
San Francisco – Friday, September 12
Portland, OR – Friday, October 25

Launched in 2007, ARTCRANK is a poster show about bicycles dedicated to making art as accessible as bikes are, and using creativity to change the way people think about cycling. Through live events featuring local artists, design collaborations and social media conversations, ARTCRANK connects people around the world with the power of bikes, art and doing good.
