This is the new Nike Tennis Court Tech 1 bag. An essential piece of equipment for the court, it redefines utility and performance for the avid tennis player. What really differentiates this bag from all others is its intelligent combination of science, innovation and common sense.
"With the Court Tech 1 bag, we wanted to make it very clear that Nike is serious about tennis equipment," said Tim Ford, Nike Bags Designer. "We designed what we believe is the best tennis bag in the world by listening to tennis athletes about what they wanted in a bag and combining that with some really innovative design elements and materials."The Court Tech 1 bag can hold up to 15 racquets total. One of the key innovations in the bag is the insulated equipment pocket that has a five-racquet capacity. This exterior pocket uses a proprietary metallic foil material that reflects light and radiant heat to reduce heat absorption and ensure that the racquet's string tension is less impacted by temperature extremes. In controlled testing at the Nike Explore Team Sport Research Lab, the temperature inside the Court Tech 1 insulated racquet pocket was proven to rise slower and plateau lower.
Unlike existing tennis bags which are designed to lay flat on the ground, the Court Tech 1 has thermo-molded stabilizing feet that allow the bag to stand upright and provide convenient access to tennis gear. The padded back panel and shoulder straps provide a comfortable backpack carrying option.
Huge capacity and multiple storage options make the Court Tech 1 bag more akin to a mobile locker than a bag. Large main and side packets provide ample gear storage. A small zippered pocket provides a secure area to keep valuable items, and a specially designed insulated fuel pocket helps keeps liquids and food at the desired temperature. Additionally, a unique drop-down shelf in the main compartment can be deployed when the bag is vertical to provide intelligent storage, separation and access options.
The Nike Tennis Court Tech 1 bag is now available for $150 from nike.com and select Nike Tennis retailers worldwide.
