July 2014 Agenda NY and Long Beach Break Attendance Records

LOS ANGELES (August 12, 2014) – AGENDA, the most diverse and innovative lifestyle fashion trade show in the world, closing off its 11th year in Long Beach on July 10th, 2014 and NYC on July 21st, 2014. An unceasing intersection for brands, retailers, and fashion influencers to converge, AGENDA broke attendance records on both coasts with a 36% growth in NYC and 15% in Long Beach. The premier destination for action sports, surf, and street wear, lifestyle and footwear industries, this year’s shows served as an experiential vehicle to illustrate each collection’s unique point of difference.

AGENDA founder, Aaron Levant stated, “This season’s tremendous level of excitement and exponential growth was evident. It was our biggest show in our eleven year history. We’ve successfully wrapped this season with a huge increase all fronts, from retail attendees, exhibitor presence and media attendees. Our goal year over year is to create a more dynamic experience and assist in brand story telling through our Agenda experience.”

AGENDA Long Beach:

The largest and most diverse offering of all three AGENDA shows, providing a true cross-section representative of each genre of California subculture. AGENDA Long Beach continues its exponential growth by diversifying show categories and increasing the brand offering catering to our youth lifestyle & street culture. Within the show, several curated subsets and peripheral marketing activations took residence throughout the venue, namely TheBerricsAgenda and The Woods, as well as Agenda WMNS. The diversity of our retail attendees from the largest department and chain stores to the most influential boutiques were present, including the likes of Dolls Kill, Nasty Gal, Need Supply, Nordstroms, Pacific Sunwear, Revolve Clothing, Ron Jon, SoleStruck, Tyler’s Urban Outfitters, Zumeiz and more. Key notables hailing from the entertainment industry include Rick Ross (Rapper), Travis Barker (Musician), Amy Purdy (Athlete/Actress), and Blake Anderson (Actor, Workaholics).
One of the show’s fastest growing categories, AGENDA WMNS serves as a curated female-centric platform housing a new generation of women’s collections. Year-round experiential marketing activations and events continue to build the community by supporting this dedicated section on the show floor. “We were so pleased to roll out our vision for AGENDA WMNS in Long Beach. As a self-sustained destination on our show floor, WMNS is truly becoming a sought-after event that brands are now seeking out, and it’s a huge source of pride for us,” said Director of AGENDA WMNS, Vanessa Chiu.

"Agenda WMNS was a phenomenal platform for the global debut of Amuse Society into the US marketplace. Our great booth positioning accommodated both the press and retailer spillage into the aisles. We were able to make authentic face-to-face connections launching our brand into the youth fashion lifestyle market and connect with our target accounts. We’re so excited about our launch into the industry.” -- Mandy Fry and Summer Rapp, Co-President and Creative Director of Amuse Society

Translating AGENDA WMNS into art this year was ‘The Babe Show’ gallery, curated by Human NYC in conjunction with RVCA Womens. This initiative further propels WMNS directional goal of female empowerment through the promotion of ideas and inspiration aimed at building a positive web of empowered women and creative voices.

AGENDA Long Beach also launched its inaugural "Agenda Best in Show" awards, results below:

AGENDA NYC:

Parlaying the tremendous momentum gained at the Long Beach show on the opposite coast, AGENDA NYC occurred on July 21st and 22nd at the Javits Center North in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. A fixture in the local Men’s Market Week scene, this show mirrors the Long Beach event’s product diversity, filtered specifically through the lens of New York’s forward menswear market. Among the 250 participating brands, exhibitors such as Stance, Obey, Burton, Stussy, Herschel Supply Co, HUF and RVCA showcased their Spring/Summer ‘15 offerings in the newly renovated convention center.

“Moving the New York show to the Javits Center is the latest phase of the Agenda evolution, and we were overwhelmed with the positive feedback we received in this new space,” Levant noted.
After the successful execution of two summer shows, this season’s AGENDA trifecta culminates in Las Vegas on August 18th, 19th and 20th, including on-site activations from BSCMP by Flexfit, Gumball 3000, and Slamxhype.
