NationalGeographic.com honored Black Diamond Apparel’s Hot Forge Eiderdown Jacket with its “2014 Gear of the Year” award. Found only in arctic latitudes, the Eider duck is world-renowned for its down plumes, which lock together to create resilient, durable insulation of incredible thermal density. The Hot Forge Eiderdown Jacket is filled with Eiderdown foraged by hand from the feathers left behind in Eider nests, and offers exceptional warmth and comfort in cold conditions.
