Men's Clothing Line, MORTAL TREND, Launches After Successful Kickstarter Campaign

Mortal Trend clothing is manufactured in Los Angeles using cotton milled in the U.S.

Having successfully funded his Kickstarter campaign six months ago, Lachlan MacKenzie has just launched Mortaltrend.com with five pieces for men. The clothing is manufactured in downtown Los Angeles out of cotton milled in the United States. It is currently available online and will soon be available in selected boutiques.

MacKenzie, who grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, designs clothes that reflect both his love of classic lines and the relaxed lifestyle he found when he moved to Southern California. “As a young man, I started using my mother’s sewing machine and altered a pair of jeans and I think that’s when I knew I wanted to design clothes.

I want Mortal Trend designs to be reminiscent of the classics, but comfortable to wear and with a detail or two that makes them unique. Classic doesn’t have to be boring.”

MacKenzie is also committed to being a part of Los Angeles’ resurgence in clothing manufacturing. “It was never the plan to make our clothing overseas,” he says. “We’re not about disposable fashion. We want to send the message that clothes should be made to last and that making them here, in the U.S., is a great thing.”

Mortal Trend’s Inaugural Line consists of:

The Sunset Beach Hoodie. Made of 100% cotton. Black zipper on the pockets. Available in Lichen and Charcoal.

The Weekender Jacket. Made of 100% cotton twill. Cut slightly higher at the waist, with bias-cut tartan on the inner seams. Brass zipper. Available in Black and Navy.

The Clyde Pullover. Made of 100% cotton. 9” black zipper in front. Available in Lichen and Coffee.

The Shoulder-Zip Pullover. Made of 100% cotton. 6” brass zipper on the left shoulder. Available in Coffee and Charcoal.

The V-Neck Pullover. Made of 100% cotton. Cut higher at the V. Available in Lichen and Coffee.
