Natura introduces the world’s first-of-its-kind ‘ACT’ at Bike Festival of India

Mumbai, India, Thursday, 30th Oct - Amidst the roaring throttles of racing bikes and the throng of motorbike enthusiasts on a bike pilgrimage, a towering structure managed to pump up the already-high adrenaline quotient of the Bike Festival India 2014 at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida, UP.

The structure, the Natura Adventure Challenge Tower, or the N-ACT, is India’s first Portable and Modular Adventure Activity Tower. A patent-pending innovation from Natura, India’s first and only professional riggers, the ACT allows people to enjoy multiple high-impact adventure activity within a very limited space, both outdoors as well as indoors.

“We wanted to create an adventure experience with a purpose, something that is safe and mobile. And that’s how we came up with the Natura Adventure Challenge Tower concept. And an event like the Bike Festival of India was the perfect place to showcase this innovation.”, says Avishkar Tendle, Managing Director, Natura Outdoor Education & Training Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

The ACT concept is unique in many ways. It’s the first concept that integrates four to eight different high-intensity adrenaline pumping activities, all of which have been designed with a purpose in mind. A 30 ft. upright ‘Climbing Wall’ to reach the top; a side for the ‘Leap-of-Faith’ – where a person has to jump off the 30 ft. ramp and hit a target (usually a bell/goodie); a side for ‘Wilder-Woosey’ – where two people balance each other while walking on separate parallel ropes; and the last one for ‘Rappelling’ – this is for the somewhat feeble-hearted as they simply have to rappel down towards the ground. While conducting each of these, the participants are safely tucked in their harnesses with the Natura crew doubling up as onsite certified paramedics and safety experts given their acclaimed WAFA (Wilderness Advanced First Aid) and WFR (Wilderness First Responder) international certifications.

Avishkar further adds, “The Natura Adventure Challenge Tower is a first in more than one way! India’s largest events equipment house Modern Stage Services Pvt. Ltd. has associated with us as their ‘Aerial Rigging Experts’ and doing an event as large as Bike festival of India 2014 is testament to the partnership. The ACT is constructed using premium quality trusses from Modern Stage – which boasts having the largest Inventory in India.

The Natura Adventure Challenge Tower instills courage and team-bonding, which help in creating evolved individuals. What’s even more fascinating is that the ACT is a 20 ft. (length) X 20 ft. (breadth) X 40 ft. (height) structure – which means that it can be safely assembled in a 250 sq. ft. area, dismantled and shifted from one location to another in merely 24 hours; and can be further customized to fit in more than four activities.

Natura had made its mark in the aerial acts industry by partnering with ace celebrity choreographer, Terence Lewis, for aerial acts on the show Dance India Dance. With the all new copyrighted ACT (IPR petition submitted), they have surely announced their arrival on the Indian adventure activity scene with great aplomb.
