To address the elements, the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection features wind and water defense materials that provide warmth as well as elite cooling technology using superior Dri-FIT materials, innovative breathability construction techniques and laser perforation to maximize cooling.
“We are getting after the cooling concept with knit-in ventilation for the spring,” said Eric Schindler, Global Apparel Product Director for Nike Golf. “Our use of woven materials is pivotal because they are innately lightweight and water resistant. Essentially, they help accelerate the wicking of moisture on the garment and will not soak up as much perspiration.”

Debuting on the PGA Tour in January, the Nike Jetstream Protect Half Zip Jacket
($110) features woven materials to offer wind and rain resistance.
Designers used updated stretch woven fabric to enable greater mobility
and help eliminate restrictions during the swing. The Nike Jetstream
Protect Jacket is available now at retail.

Men’s Nike Major Moment Polo
Engineered knits will make their debut in March — fabrics that
use a technologically advanced 3-D knitting technique to allow for
increased range of motion throughout the sleeves without compromising
warmth or protection. The men’s Nike Major Moment Polo ($85) is
constructed with engineered 3-D knit and Dri-FIT fabric for superior
sweat wicking and comfort. The Major Moment Polo will be available
starting on March 1.
Featuring engineered knit sleeves and an ultra-light woven lower front panel for maximum mobility, the women’s Nike Engineered Half Zip Top
($120) is the perfect option for golf athletes looking for mobility,
protection and warmth. The Engineered Half Zip Top is available now.
Men’s Nike Major Moment Elite 26 Polo
As the weather gets warmer, fewer layers needed to stay warm and
dry. The theme of cooling continues with several lightweight stretch
wovens that feature Dri-FIT properties in super thin fabric that is
inherently water resistant. Nike designers used wovens in golf pants in
the past and now are introducing the material in polos for men. The Nike
Major Moment Elite 26 Polo ($85) utilizes a knit and woven mix for
breathability, keeping the golf athlete dry in the summer months. The
Major Elite Polo will be available starting on May 1.
Women’s Nike Luxe Raglan Polo
In 2015, Nike introduces a new fit for women’s polos in the new
Nike Luxe Raglan Polo. The polo features a more modern look, including a
longer fit and shorter collar. Mesh side panels offer ventilation and
mobility.
“It’s a big shift for women’s golf in terms of the way the polo will look and fit the body,” said Schindler. “From a performance standpoint, the Luxe Raglan Polo still has the mobility our consumer asks for, but has a more tailored fit, eliminating excess fabric that can be a distraction.”
The Luxe Raglan Polo ($75) will be available starting on May 1.
