LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (Jan. 4, 2015): Abominable Labs, LLC (ABOM) has received top honors at the 2015 SIA Snow Show in Denver from both Outside Magazine and Skiing Magazine for its signature goggle, the world’s first truly fog-free snowsports goggles,.

Outside Magazine awarded Abominable Labs “Gear of the Show 2015” and notes that their product is, “the coolest, most high-tech solution to goggle fog we’ve seen.”

Similarly Skiing Magazine seeks out the most innovative, creative products introduced at the annual show. Abominable was recognized with Skiing’s ‘Hot Gear of SIA’ award.   

The F-BOM is powered by Abominable’s patented KLAIR™ technology. Invisible and completely silent, it works like the rear window in a car. A thin-film transparent heating system is placed in between the two-part lens and is powered by two small lithium-ion batteries. The heater works to keep the temperature just above dew point, which keeps fog away.

The F-BOM goggles feature a scratch-resistant, polycarbonate lens from Carl Zeiss to provide for clarity with zero distortions, as well as 100 percent protection from UVA, UVB and UVC rays. Using an innovative and intuitive system, the lens can be easily interchanged with red, yellow and dark tints for different light conditions. 

Following the strong showing at SIA the Abominable Labs team is off to ISPO in Munich, Germany and the Japan Snow Expo.
