Nike Tennis ColorDry Polo Makes On-Court Debut at Indian Wells

Designed for today’s dynamic tennis playmaker, the new Nike Tennis ColorDry Polo combines pinnacle performance and sustainable innovation with modern style for on- and off-court comfort.

Nike ColorDry technology hits the professional tennis stage for the first time when Nick Kyrgios – fresh off a career-best quarterfinal finish in Australia – steps onto the court in Indian Wells, Calif., wearing the Nike Tennis ColorDry Polo.

Uncompromised Performance

Ideal for warm weather matches, the polo features Nike Dri-FIT fabric to pull perspiration to the surface of the shirt where it evaporates quickly to keep players dry and comfortable. The polo’s intelligent design delivers unrestricted range of motion from the baseline to the net.

Uncompromised Sustainability

It takes 30 liters of water - the equivalent amount in 60 plastic water bottles - to dye a T-shirt using traditional dyeing methods. Nike ColorDry technology dyes fabric using zero water, while also saving energy and eliminating the need for added chemicals in the fabric dyeing process.

The breakthrough of waterless dyeing is combined with another sustainable innovation: recycled polyester. The Nike Tennis ColorDry Polo is fabricated with 96 percent recycled polyester, made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to produce the high-performance yarn - each polo is made with the equivalent of 11 plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted the equivalent of more than two billion bottles from landfills and into product.

The Nike Tennis ColorDry Polo is available in four vibrant colors on nike.com and in select Nike Retail Stores. For more information on Nike's sustainable product innovations visit NikeBetterWorld.com or the Nike Better World Tumblr.
