Four new sales and product leads join lifestyle consumer electronics brand
Los Angeles, CA (June 4, 2015) – Outdoor Tech®,
makers of rugged Bluetooth audio devices and portable power things,
hired four new managers this month to oversee the company’s product
expansions and sales. Los Angeles-based Outdoor Tech®,
listed on the Inc500 list of fastest growing private companies in 2014,
is growing at a 102% rate in 2015 driven by sales surges in the
collegiate, consumer electronics, action sports and international
markets.
Scott Ketchum joins Outdoor Tech® as National Sales
Manager and is responsible for extending the brand’s presence in CE
channels including national and regional strategic partners and
distribution. Ketchum resides in Seattle and previously worked as
director of sales for Incase and oversaw global sales for Contour
action cams.
Patrick Armstrong holds the newly created position of Sales Manager.
Armstrong brings a strong background in action sports and CE
accessories to Outdoor Tech® through his previous work
with Incase and DC Shoes. He will be responsible for bolstering Outdoor
Tech’s presence in lifestyle doors – a channel where the brand has
been embraced since its inception.
Anthony Abdelmalek will join Outdoor Tech® this
month as Senior Product Manager. Abdelmalek is an industrial designer
with more than a decade’s worth of experience in product development
and supply chain management in the action and traditional sport
industries including STX and Technine. He speaks fluent Mandarin after
residing in China for six years and will lead the brand’s product team.
Ross Woodworth will serve as Outdoor Tech’s Product Manager.
Woodworth is the brand’s first in-house engineer and will support
ideation and expansion of Outdoor Tech’s product line. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from CU and a master’s
degree in product innovation and development from Carnegie Mellon.
Prior to joining Outdoor Tech®, Woodworth worked in
multiple product development and project management roles in the
telecom and off-road vehicle industries in addition to working as a
snowboard instructor in Vail.
