Rock/Creek Now Open in Cleveland

Rock/Creek today announces its Cleveland, TN store opening. The doors opened at 10am with a ribbon cutting at 11am including the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce. The retailer will offer sales and giveaways all day long today, with many extending though the weekend. With over $10,000 in free giveaways and gifts with purchase, Rock/Creek expects to see big crowds.

Rock/Creek principal, Chad Wykle, expressed his thanks to the Cleveland community for welcoming the Chattanooga-based company to the area: “We’ve really enjoyed setting up the store so far, and we’ve met some great business owners and outdoor enthusiasts already. Obviously we’re excited about meeting many more people now that we’re open, and getting involved in the local outdoor community.”

Rock/Creek has operated a store at the Ocoee River for many years, as well as a large outdoor store at Hamilton Crossing, but this will be the first store in Bradley County. The Ocoee store operates seasonally with the rafting releases, but Rock/Creek Cleveland will operate year-round.

“The Chamber is excited to welcome Rock/Creek to our retail community. They will be an asset to the outdoors enthusiasts in the Ocoee Region. We appreciate having more options in our growing business community,” said Aaron Weatherford, Chamber of Commerce membership director.

The new location will include about 4,500 feet of retail square footage, which places the store in between The Block and the 2 North Shore stores in size. Key brands in the new location include Marmot, Patagonia, and The North Face, with plenty of supporting brands like prAna, Toad&Co. clothing, Osprey packs, Kuhl clothing, YETI coolers.

The footwear section will feature Chaco sandals, climbing shoes, hiking shoes and boots, running shoes and casual styles. Locally-produced socks from SmartWool, Goodhew and Sockwell will be represented, as will several American-made apparel items like Rock/Creek’s logo wear and Marc Nelson t-shirts. Outdoor gear including climbing equipment, hiking poles, camping and backpacking gear will also be represented. Electronics will include GoPro cameras and Suunto GPS sports watches.
