Werner Paddles. Announces a complete redesign to the Stand Up Paddle line.
Investing energy and dollars, both on the water and in the R&D shop, Werner Paddles has redesigned our ENTIRE
stand up paddle line. Our ultimate goal was to design and build the
best paddling paddle for each specific discipline of SUP.
But we did
not stop there, approaching this project with all we’ve learned from the
time we built our first SUP paddle in 2006, and all we know about
building paddles since 1965, we dialed in blade to shaft offset,
improved aesthetics, lowered weights, improved performance, reworked
sizes and expanded our Advanced Fit options. While we were at it we
came up with some great colors, introduced our HD Graphics package and
unveiled our new SUP logo.
As the market share leader in touring and whitewater paddles, from a
wide range of $130 to $570, we wanted to bring up the level of
performance we offer our stand up paddle customer. Our marketing
manager, Danny Mongno, gave some insight on the decision to update the
line-up. “Our touring and whitewater lines have been honed literally
for decades, we celebrate our 50th year of handcrafting paddles in
2015.
It’s such an advantage to have that kind of knowledge both in the
R&D room and on the water. Since we entered the SUP paddle
business in 2006, although it was relatively early on, the sport itself
has changed so much in that short time. It’s the company that does not
recognize a need for improvement that gets left behind, and that is not
who we are. It was a big investment but a great one.”
The new SUP paddles begin hitting dealers’ floors early September
2015. To see the entire new line-up, visit the website here: www.wernerpaddles.com/paddles/stand-up
Since 1965 Werner Paddles
have been designed and hand crafted with the goal of a better paddling
paddle. Hours from where the initial paddles were built in the garage
our mission has not changed; better paddling paddles. We remain family
owned and celebrate our 50th year of handcrafting paddles in Sultan WA,
USA this season.
