In 2013 even airbags for two-wheels will have a CE type approval, as long as helmets, gloves and back protector.
Clover
with the Crossover Airbag anticipates everyone, presenting the first
three-layer jacket on the market equipped with an airbag certificate
level 2 CE, with an eye also to the versatility and comfort.
The
airbag is activated by a "cold explosion" of CO2 gas at very high
compression and is attached to the bike via a tie rod stretch. The
airbag expands in just eight hundredths of a second.
The system is also
very practical because it can be removed from the jacket with
simplicity, for example for washing the jacket. The activation of the
system does not damage the structure of the jacket and the airbag can be
recharged.
The Crossover airbag is designed to be used in all
weather conditions with its three independent layers: an outer
represents the first barrier, one internal, brand Aquazone should ensure
100% waterproof and breathable, and there is finally a layer thermal
differentiated padding, to isolate in a more incisive critical points.
For the warmer weather, the Crossover airbag has then eight-point front
open to allow air to enter.
The most common problem in a system of
three-coat layers, is related to size. If when you purchase the correct
size is chosen with all the inner layers inserted, once removed the
latter, the head becomes wider. The classic pull adjustments can solve
only part of the problem because such protections on shoulders and
elbows are no longer able to ensure proper adherence to the body. Clover
has developed a unique solution, which is called ZIP & FIT allows
you to restrict the size of an airbag Crossover in its whole extent, by
the end of the lap-sleeve, ending arms.
