Vibram announced the appointment of Antonio Dus to CEO Vibram Worldwide.
Dus will take the reins from Marco Bramani, former CEO, president and
grandson of founder Vitale Bramani. Dus previously served as advisor to
Bramani. The promotion underscores Vibram’s commitment to
accelerating brand development with special focus on innovation and
high performance products.
During his professional career, Dus,
42, acquired significant experience in the footwear industry, working at
an international level for both Garmont S.r.L and Ober-Alps/Salewa
Group. He brings to Vibram an extensive knowledge of marketing
processes and activities and has been instrumental in the success of the
Garmond and Ober-Alps brands. In October 2012 he joined the company as
Advisor to the President to focus on developing new strategies for
efficiently managing and sustaining the company’s worldwide growth.
Bramani
managed the company for the last 25 years, increasing brand revenue by
over ten times since joining Vibram. He also developed the Chinese
Technological Center and founded the American subsidiary Vibram USA.
Additionally, he launched the innovative Vibram FiveFingers line.
Bramani will continue as president and chairman of the board and will
focus on the creative development of the brand.
Bramani
recognized Dus's expertise and saw it as an opportunity to help propel
the brand forward with his worldwide vision. “We are confident that
Antonio will bring a new enthusiasm to this position, especially in the
North American market where he has solid experience and expertise,”
commented Bramani.
