Rockford, Mich. (June 24, 2014) – Chaco,
the market leader in
performance
sandals, continues to evolve its product mix to include more closed-toe
shoes for both water and trail, as well as expand its collection of
premium leather and casual lifestyle sandals. For Spring 2015, Chaco
adds more styles to the successful OutCross collection, launches a new,
modern performance Z/Volv sandal collection, and introduces the New
Chill series, featuring beautiful and finely crafted leather flips and
sandals. All Spring 2015 footwear features Chaco’s LUVSEAT™ footbed that
is certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association for optimum
comfort and a properly supported stride. Each new style will debut at
the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market at Chaco’s booth (#32136).
OutCross Evo
The
OutCross platform of protective and versatile shoes, which launched to
rave reviews and solid sales in 2014, moves forward with the new
OutCross Evo collection in 2015. The OutCross Evo collection provides
essential coverage with new colors, styles, and unique silhouettes that
span land and water. With three styles for men, four for women, and a
colorful offering for kids, the OutCross Evo collection combines
breathable mesh and jacquard webbing to provide varying levels of open
construction and ventilation across the styles. Each shoe has an
instant-comfort, microfoam layer resting atop the premium polyurethane
(PU) LUVSEAT footbed and nylon support shank. The rugged, non-marking
EcoTread™ outsole is made with 25 percent recycled rubber and has 3.5mm
lugs and a molded, siped tread design to offer impressive traction no
matter the terrain. The gender-specific
OutCross Evo 1, 2, and
3
are available for both men and women in a wide variety of colors. The
OutCross Evo 1 and 2 will retail for $110, and the OutCross Evo 3 will
retail for $115. The
OutCross Evo MJ (Mary Jane) is a great option for women at $100, while the
OutCross Kids brings eight vibrant colors to adventure seeking children for $55.
New Chill
The
name of the New Chill collection says it all; sandals and flips for
everyday use that feature comfortable, premium leathers and a laid-back
style. Women can choose from the
Cordova for $90, the
Sol for $80, the
Abril for $85, the
Sofia for $110, and the
Dorra for $100. The Men’s collection includes the
Cabrera for $90, the
Finn for $95, and the
Kirkwood
for $85. Each of the New Chill styles uses beautiful textured and
smooth premium leathers, pigskin lined straps, and a handcrafted leather
topsheet over the cushioned, slim PU LUVSEAT footbed for instant and
all-day comfort. The gender-specific outsoles have non-marking EcoTread
rubber with 25 percent recycled content.
Z/Volv
The
Z/Volv collection answers the question, what would Chaco’s Z sandal
look and feel like if it were introduced today? Offering consumers
additional sport sandal choices, the Z/Volv platform has distinctive
features such as a more athletic-inspired midsole and sidewall design, a
fresh gender-specific EcoTread outsole, and a new softer topsheet and
footbed design offering stellar out-of-the-box comfort thanks to a new
PU compound. This new PU compound provides extra comfort underfoot while
weighing 20 percent less than the classic Z platform. Continuing with
the traditional adjustable pass-through strap design, the Z/Volv
collection has four sandal styles for women and two for men. The Z/Volv
collection also includes flips in two styles for men and women. The
Z/Volv and
Z/Volv 2 come in gender-specific styles for men and women, and the
Z/Volv X and
Z/Volv X2 are available for women. Each sandal retails for $100. The gender-specific
Z/Volv Flip has Chaco’s fun jacquard webbing straps and retails for $65, while the gender-specific
Z/Volv Flip Synth ($60) features a foam-padded synthetic leather strap.
Classic Z
Every
season, Chaco adds a variety of new colors and designs to its Classic Z
collection. For spring 2015, Chaco will introduce the
ZX/3 Yampa
in five great color combinations for women. Following the traditional Z
sandal style with pass-through webbing, the ZX/3 Yampa has three
interwoven webbing straps to offer even more color and pattern options.
All styles in the classic Z collection will retail for $105.
