SEATTLE, Wash. – From industry-leading heated glove technology,
to highly packable insulated mitts, to gloves for aerobic activities in
cold weather, to super-functional undercuff ski gloves, the Fall 2014
Outdoor Research glove collection continues to push the boundaries of
performance, ensuring best-in-class warmth and performance
Lucent Heated Gloves and Mitts
– Featuring new ALTIHeat
technology, the Lucent Heated Gloves and Mitts have 61 percent more
power output than any other heated glove, combined with twice as much
heated surface area. The result is an insulated, waterproof, heated
GORE-TEX glove/mitt that works far more effectively than any other
heated glove technology on the market. The Lucent Heated Gloves and
Mitts are further set apart from the competition by having their heating
elements integrated into the interior fabric, which yields better flex
and range of motion. That technology also means that both the fingers
and the back of hand are heated, versus only the fingers in other
products on the market. Customizable settings offer three different heat
levels, with battery life of 8 hours on low, 5 hours on medium, and 2.5
hours on high. Rechargeable batteries are located in the underside of
the gauntlet of the glove, so they are barely noticeable. Other features
include a fleece palm lining, molded EVA foam knuckles, and
abrasion-resistant goat leather on the palms. A carrying case and a
three-piece universal adapter kit that allows for worldwide use are
included. $350.
Stormtracker Heated Gloves
– Unique in the marketplace
as a lighter, more dexterous glove with heating technology, the
Stormtracker Heated Gloves use the same powerful ALTIHeat technology as
the Lucent Heated Gloves and Mitts. With Gore WINDSTOPPER and synthetic
insulation on the back of hand for weather resistance and warmth, the
Stormtrackers employ a soft, tactile leather palm and a TPU-injected
mold design at back of hand for an added layer of protection. The
original Stormtracker is an athlete favorite, as these gloves tackle
alpine climbing, ski touring or ice climbing. $235.
Phosphor Mitts
– The super lightweight and highly
compressible Phosphor Mitts are your best friend in frigid alpine
conditions. Made with a water-resistant and breathable 2L Gore
WINDSTOPPER fabric, they’re filled with 600-fill down insulation for
ultimate warmth and wind protection in some of the most brutal of cold
environments. Other features include a water-resistant synthetic suede
palm with a fleece backer for extra durability and protection. In
winter, the Phosphor Mitts are the ideal companion to always have in
your pack. $89.
Centurion Gloves
– A dynamic combination of GORE-TEX,
EnduraLoft, and AlpenGrip LT fabrics create the stylish and highly
functional Centurion Gloves, an affordable and high-style undercuff ski
glove. The GORE-TEX exterior ensures superb waterproof and breathable
protection, while EnduraLoft insulation in the back of hand provides
serious warmth. The AlpenGrip LT fabric on the palms yields a
long-lasting and burly glove ready for long days on the slopes. Bright
colors will make you pop while getting pitted in the deep pow. $69.
Rivet Gloves
– The Rivet Gloves take a rugged, leather
workingman’s glove style and add lightweight, water-resistant EnduraLoft
insulation on the back of hands and palms for warmth. A tricot lining
means interior comfort, while suede overlays add extra durability. These
gloves vent incredibly well and dry on uphill pushes. A workhorse in
the Outdoor Research glove line, the Rivet Gloves are at home slinging
ropes all day on ski patrol or chopping wood in the backyard. $85.
Afterburner Gloves
– Created for aerobic sports like skate
skiing or running in cold weather, the Afterburner Gloves are made with a
breathable, wind-and-water resistant stretch nylon with polyester
backing, and insulated with lightweight, water-resistant Enduraloft. The
palms are lined with synthetic suede with a warm fleece backer for
durability and comfort, and molded neoprene cuffs with a Lycra gusset
keep the gloves snug and comfortable. Touch-screen compatibility on
finger and thumb mean easy adjustment of tunes on the fly. $59.
Hot Pursuit Running Glove
– These highly adjustable gloves
allow customization when the day starts out cold and gives way to
bluebird, or when the unexpected is what’s expected. Built for
versatility, the Hot Pursuit Convertible Running Gloves offer full wind
and weather resistance with a protective nylon ripstop lobster claw
overmitt that covers the glove’s quick-drying fleece fingers. As
temperatures climb or weather backs off, tuck the shell away cleanly in a
low-profile wrist pocket. Details include touchscreen compatibility on
the first finger and thumb, a nose wipe on the side of the thumb,
radiant fleece on the palm and back of hand, and a reflective logo for
visibility. $35
