Dec. 1, 2014 - MIAMI -- War+Drobe Designs, a collective of social entrepreneurs, announces a three-day launch event of  the new company and its first product, a new Interchangeable Skateboard Faceplate System that allows skateboarders to customize their boards at Art Basel 2014 in Miami, FL. The event kicks off on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 9:11 p.m. ET at Brisky Gallery in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District and will feature celebrity appearances, a silent auction, musical performances, artist exhibitions and more. A pop-up shop experience on Friday, Dec. 5 at 9:11 p.m. featuring work from a variety of artistic brands will complete the launch activities.

War+Drobe’s inaugural namesake product is an Interchangeable Skateboard Faceplate System (ISFS) that is a patented first of its kind quick-change method. Just as cellphone cases are stylish, functional and customized for each device, War+Drobe’s ISFS will offer skateboarders an opportunity to develop customizable decks that express their individuality. The two-piece faceplate design allows skaters to change the aesthetic of their skateboard in just seconds, revolutionizing the category that until now offered only full replacement deck models requiring mechanical tools to change.

“The active sports culture of the skateboard community represents free form, creative expression and War+Drobe faceplates are a visual extension of that expression,” said Verlin Campbell, managing partner of War+Drobe Designs.

True to its culture of collaboration, the company’s launch of War+Drobe is a combined endeavor and will open the Brisky Art Gallery space to showcase other likeminded brands. The weekend will include the following events:
