Hydro Flask Continues Team Expansion with Two New Directors

Hydro Flask—the award-winning leader in high-performance, insulated stainless steel flasks—has announced the addition of two senior directors for product and marketing. Director of Product Joe Smith began on January 5th, and Director of Marketing Leanne Champion started with the company on December 18^th. Each brings extensive industry experience and knowledge to the company.

As Director of Product, Smith is charged with overseeing the development and launch of products for Hydro Flask while managing the product team. Prior to joining Hydro Flask, Smith spent nearly a decade at Salt Lake City, UT-based Black Diamond Equipment as the Director of Manufacturing and Engineering and Project/Product Development Engineer prior to that. At Black Diamond, Smith was responsible for leading the in-house manufacturing activity, process engineering, capability development and the coordination of new product into the in-house cycle. 

Champion will lead the company’s marketing efforts, creating consumer affinity for the Hydro Flask brand through compelling campaigns, engaging retail experiences, and a powerful online and virtual presence. She has a strong record of highly focused, strategic marketing and brand leadership at notable brands. Champion’s previous experience includes Director of North American Marketing at SmartWool, Director of Marketing at Gaiam, and Marketing Communications Manager at Ruffwear.
