BRP’s Evinrude E-TEC engines will now be offered by the aluminum-hull
boat manufacturer Hewescraft. Owners of a 16- to 26-foot (4.8- to
7.9-metre) Hewescraft heavy-gauge, all-welded aluminum fishing boat can
now experience the unrivaled performance and bold, breakthrough design
of the Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine.
“We strive to
align ourselves with brands that have the renowned reputation that BRP
has established with its Evinrude brand,” said Clint Kirry, director of
sales and marketing, Hewescraft. “Reliability and toughness are
synonymous with Hewescraft and paramount to boaters in the Pacific
Northwest, and we see these same attributes in the Evinrude line-up.”
The all-new

more torque, up to 15% better fuel economy and up to 75% fewer
reportable emissions than competitive outboards*. In addition, the
Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine allows Hewescraft owners the choice of over 400
possible engine color combinations to perfectly match their boat, as
well as offering great value backed by one of the industry’s best
warranties and five years or 500 hours of no dealer-scheduled
maintenance.
“Hewescraft is
a great addition to our OEM portfolio,” said Greg Heichelbech,
vice-president, Sales of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division.
“These boats are known for their ability to operate in very tough
environments, a perfect scenario to highlight the power and performance
of our Evinrude line-up.”
Hewescraft is
based in Colville, Washington. For more than 65 years, Hewescraft has
built all-welded aluminum construction fishing boats designed to take on
rivers, lakes and ocean seas. The family-owned builder produces nine
different models in dozens of configurations for their customers, and
they can be found in 34 dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Now, with
Evinrude engines on the transom, users can further configure their boat
