Fresh from its official unveiling ahead of last weekend’s Catalunya MotoGP race, Honda’s RC213V-S is set for its next public appearance – at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, to be held in the UK at the end of June.
The RC213V-S will be ridden up the famous Goodwood hill climb course on all three days of the Festival from 26th to 28th June by Honda racers from across its racing categories – road racing, World Superbike and MotoGP.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed – first held in 1993 – attracts 150,000 fans of classic and modern motor racing vehicles every year. Fans get a unique opportunity for close-up views of hundreds of 2 and 4 wheeled race machines climbing the Goodwood hill, and are able to get even closer to many of the vehicles as they are displayed in the paddocks surrounding the course.
As such, it offers the perfect venue to showcase the new “MotoGP for the road” RC213V-S to thousands of motor sports enthusiasts, and to allow them the closest possible view of this ground-breaking machine. The RC213V-S will be in good company: among other Honda motorcycles to be ridden and displayed at Goodwood will be the 1984 and 1985 NSR500s with which Freddie Spencer won back-to-back World Championships.
