Vancouver, BC (June 18, 2015) – Award-winning outdoor footwear
maker, Treksta, announced today that it is introducing a number of new
trail running and outdoor-specific models at Outdoor Retailer Summer
Market, August 5-8, 2015 in Salt Lake City. Known for its pioneering
technology; including its ground-breaking NestFIT™ last, function
specific HyperGrip® outsole and award-winning Hands Free technology,
Treksta has new models for the growing population of trail runners,
paddlers and climbers. Treksta’s latest footwear, available in retail
outlets in spring 2016, can be seen at OR in Booth #32155.
According to Treksta’s Sales Director, Rob McCurdy, the new models
all continue Treksta’s essential mantra: Dare to be Different. “Treksta
has always been and continues to be an innovator of footwear,” says
McCurdy. “We are consistently on the forefront of new technology to
make footwear better, and these latest innovations, like the new
HyperFoam midsole in the Mega Wave running shoe, the Super Gum outsole
in our Libero approach shoe and the WaterLock outsole in our Kisachie,
continue to showcase that mindset.”
Treksta’s latest shoes all share the company’s signature NestFIT
construction, an innovative system which unites last, insole, midsole
and outsole to cradle the feet and support them in a fully natural
position, ensuring long-term comfort and preventing muscle fatigue.
Built from the scans of over 20,000 human feet, NestFIT produces an
anatomically correct fitting shoe, which also incorporates a sulcus
crest, a slight ridge at the back of the toes to support them in an
altogether natural position for greater comfort and performance. Treksta
continues to enhance its HyperGrip® WaterLock™ outsole for select
models, which utilizes a special rubber compound and lug design for
superior traction on wet surfaces.
For the burgeoning group of dedicated trail runners, Treksta introduces two new models.
Mega Wave:
The Mega Wave is a maximum cushioned, lightweight,
breathable shoe for the long distance trail runner. The Mega Wave
features Treksta’s new HyperFoam dual density midsole for a plush,
cushioned ride, providing a full 23% superior cushioning and rebound, a
rapid, tie-less lacing system with lace garage and the Hypergrip HGL
2-part outsole with IST (Independent Suspension Technology) for
maximum grip and stability on varied terrain. MSRP: $125
Trail Wave:
The Trail Wave is a lightweight performance trail running shoe for committed runners. The
Hypergrip HGL outsole has excellent bite on loose trails and a soft,
comfortable feel on pavement. Mesh uppers with synthetic ‘hide’
reinforcement provide added protection while allowing maximum
breathability. Angular notches in the midsole heel promote a rounded
flex of the midsole/outsole for an efficient, effortless stride. MSRP:
$120
Libero:
For the climber, Treksta’s new approach shoe, the Libero, packed with technical features for full performance,
but also ideal for life away from the crag. The Libero’s Split Suede
upper offers protection from sharp rocks and features Treksta’s T-Frame
construction and powerful heel cup, which hold the foot securely in
place while hiking and scrambling. The Hypergrip Super Gum sticky rubber
outsole gives confidence when clambering over any type of rock. MSRP:
$135
Kisachie:
For the paddler and camper, Treksta introduces the new Kisachie, aptly referred to as the SUV of
warm weather footwear. The Kisachie has an open concept upper, like a
sandal, yet offers the stability, support, protection and traction of a
trail shoe. With its new Hypergrip® WaterLock™ outsole for superior
traction on wet surfaces, the Boa lacing system for easy and precise
adjustment, and the Neoprene-like liner, the Kisachie is ideal for use
on land or in the water. Hike, walk, canoe, SUP, kayak, camp, approach,
cycle, garden, dress it up, dress it down. MSRP: $120
