Boulder Colorado – Each year at the OutDoor trade fair in
Friedrichshafen, the most innovative new products are recognized with
the OutDoor Industry Award. To that end, industry experts on the panel
of judges weigh the degree of innovation of several hundred entries in
eight categories. After wins in 2012 and 2013, SALEWA footwear has again
won the sought-after GOLD award.
For Summer 2015, the South Tyrol mountain sport specialist launches
its new products along with a new logo at the OutDoor trade fair in
Friedrichshafen, Germany. Plus, it has earned three OutDoor Industry
Awards for product innovation.
“For the second year in a row, SALEWA has won three awards at the
same time from the leading European outdoor trade fair. With the
additional launch of a new logo at this time, these awards are even more
important to us because they emphasize our strong drive for brand
renewal and leadership in innovation. “I’m particularly pleased that in
addition to two innovation awards, we also won in the area of
sustainability. It’s good to see that our engagement has been rewarded …
and that motivates our entire company,” said Heiner Oberrauch,
president of the SALEWA-Oberalp Group.
The winning product in footwear is the new for SS15 Speed Ascent.
Featuring Take-Off technology, a pre-cambered position for the toes,
plus VIBRAM’s Rolling Gait System: a rocker-shaped sole for quicker and
safer acceleration. You’ll want to roll with Speed Ascent to save energy
and be more efficient in technical terrain. Combined with a double-row
lacing system and an overlapping tongue the fit, function, and support
is unmatched.
