ExOfficio, a leading manufacturer of adventure travel apparel, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Johanna Rundquist as the new
Design Materials Manager. In this position, Rundquist will manage global
sourcing for technical fabrics and innovations within ExOfficio’s design and product development team, focusing on delivering comfortable performance for the traveler.
“The ability to continually solve the challenges that travelers face
so they can concentrate on the experience is key to the success of our
brand and
products” said Brian Thompson, general manager of ExOfficio. “Because
innovation and technology are at the core of that process, we set the
bar high for this position, working with our VP of Design and Product
Development Julie Snow’s direction to continue finding new ways to
benefit the modern traveler with the apparel we make. Johanna ticked
every box we had listed, and will have an immediate and positive impact
on the process.”
Rundquist brings twenty years of fabric development and sourcing
expertise to her new role. Most recently, Rundquist served as the senior
materials designer for REI private brands, after a successful
twelve-year career in which she was promoted within the department.
Prior to that, Rundquist held various textile sourcing and product
development positions at Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch, Nike, and
Banana Republic.
“I really enjoy the design challenge of making fabrics that are
beautiful and comfortable with serious performance attributes to make
the wearer’s life easier,” said Rundquist. “I particularly love working
on textiles and the latest fabric trends and technologies, and am
excited to bring them to such a genuine and talented team here at
ExOfficio.”
Rundquist is working with the ExOfficio design and product
development team out of the company’s global headquarters located in the
SoDo district of Seattle, Washington.
