New products : DeMarini Introduces Two New High Performance Baseball Bats Built for Maximum Power and Speed

2014 Voodoo paradox
HILLSBORO, Ore.--()--DeMarini, makers of the world’s finest performance baseball, fastpitch and slowpitch bats for more than 20 years, is launching two new baseball bats. The 2014 Voodoo Paradox was developed with the elite, power-hungry player in mind while the 2014 Vexxum NVS was specifically created for the high school player looking for the ultimate in bat speed and barrel feel. Both bats are designed, tested, and manufactured in the USA and are available for purchase starting today.

“We’re no strangers to challenging performance boundaries,” said Matt Hendryx, product manager for DeMarini. “Our goal - year in and year out - is to identify player needs and develop bats specifically tailored to them. We’re willing to try unconventional solutions and obsess over the minor details. These two new bats are some of the best bats we’ve ever launched.”

Never satisfied, DeMarini took a look at last year’s successful Voodoo model and built on it – giving it even more power. The 2014 Voodoo Paradox boasts an X10 Alloy barrel with a brand new Paradox Handle that is stiffer than ever.

Early college player testing has generated buzz and yielded extremely positive feedback. Matt Hendryx, product manager for DeMarini, said of the updates, “Eighty-five percent of our college players use the Voodoo, so we owe it to them to make sure it is optimized for their needs. These are elite players looking for as powerful a bat as possible. We’ve created that by fine-tuning our barrel walls and giving it a stiffer handle. This made the sweet spot more explosive and gave it more pop than ever. We feel it’s the best bat on the market for the elite player.”

2014 Vexum
The 2014 Vexxum NVS (New Velocity System) features an innovative barrel design that was developed to fit the needs of players who are looking for the ultimate in bat speed. With the advent of BBCOR standards, the majority of bats have become heavier. These regulations have a huge impact on players’ swings, particularly at the high school level. Players in this age range don’t generate a ton of bat speed on their own, so it can be hard to get a heavy bat around. With the 2014 Vexxum NVS, DeMarini created an extremely light swinging bat with an extended sweet spot to help players be more consistent and achieve better performance.
